Door widths

Postby GeorgeTelford » Fri Mar 31, 2006 2:52 pm

I have just got hold of 2 lovely Seitz windows 700 X 300 (28" X 12") Fully integrated blinds and fly screens

My idea is to do something similar to a weekender, how wide are the doors normally?

George , I think alot of the width depends on how you fit . Not being mean or anything but what I mean is , when you sit up & swing your legs to get out can make a difference. I am 6'2 & made my doors 36" tall & 30 " wide. I don't hit my head when I get out & have plenty room . I like the windows you have . With the built ins sounds cool. How thick are they ? Do they mount with a ring ? Good luck!

Hi Boodro

They are a Sandwich construction cut the whole fit cassette window blind inside and window and frame outside when screwed up pulls both sides togethor will fit any thickness up to 2" (deeper if you want to add a spacer and longer screws)

Door would need to be 32" minimum width, or maybe use those as a side window and get a porthole for the door, decisions, decisions.
