Before the bottom hatch is started I,ll put aluminum on the frame back edge there as shown...So that the bottom of the Hatch will rest there once closed.. also a rubber seal installed...

Here's some advice...just take your time, step by step....glue a joint, drink a beer, watch a re-run of MASH, glue a joint, eat a piece of leftover pizza, watch a re-run of Beverly Hillbillys, drink a beer, glue a joint, tuck the young un into bed, drink a beer, glue a joint , kiss the wife, dig out the first aid kit (just in case)...under no circumstances cut a board at this time..
Uh oh...that's how I would do it...maybe that's not such good advice![]()

Looks good to me. Just take your time and use screws so you can fix anything. Then you can come back and add glue.uh. don't forget the glue.

Is your hatch going to fit inside the body? What I am really asking is did you cut away for the seal? If you did the ribs should stick out from the body the amount of the seal.
