Are you talking a good seal before the paint or after. Or just a good coating of paint. Epoxy before or after?

maybe I'm making to big an issue out of this :oops:

I use whatever weapon is handy and makes sense. This time I rolled and brushed the housepaint. I put a little texture on the plywood to hide the grain of the wood.

It is almost impossible to make fiberglass tape work on square corners. So, unless you have round corners on the edges of your tear, glass with cloth is out.

I see nothing wrong with using epoxy alone as a sealer. I did on some of mine, but it can be a real pain to get house paint to stick to fiberglass.

My intention is to inspect the paint regularly, and touch up as necessary.

Something to consider is something like truck bed for the outside,
1. it adheres to EVERYTHING.
2. It is WATER PROOF
3. with this company, they have 10 smooth colors to paint with. www.durabak.com or there parent company of www.cotelind.com , I have used them for the top and bottom of my tear drop, with no problems.
Follow the instructions for wood. Put the smooth paint on first, and mask for the rough on the bottom. I tried the other direction and could not get ANYTHING to stick to it. I have a smooth tan on top and a rough gray on bottom.

What about buying a gallon of trailer paint from husky trailers and rolling it on a friend of mine bought a gallon of it for about $30.00

Didn't see a price for them. I was looking for a clear coat. As the color is still up for debate.

Big De do you have a sight I can go to to check it out? I tried searching and didn't come up with much. Thanks Scott
