I cannot help but recal the many times I have seen an unsuspecting knight strutting around the festival displaying his shiny new plate armor, oblivious to the fact that some sly wench had decorated his back plate with refrigerator magnets depicting Barbie dolls or other such things, but usually of "femalish" interest............
A magnetic tear could lead to some "interesting" decoration......
