Aaron, you can also use Mineral oil, WD-40 or ArmorAll...they willl haveta be re-applied after each use of the tear...spraying with Bulddog(paint adhesion promoter) and then clearcoat painting is the only other "permanent" solution I know of...I plan on using the SharkHide the next time I skin with AL....
