Has anybody modeled their Tear before building?

I use my old cerial boxes.

my first 2 were teardrops the last was a squareback with a slide out. see if I and find it. and add it to this thred.

Mike My small trailer is also tipable for the same reason as being removable from the trailer frame. We are only alowed six vehicles to a resedential space so mine has Three modes ( Stake-bed, Smaller Trailer Box, Larger Trailer Box ) of operation ( one vehicle - he he he ).
The trailer makes five total for me. We are only alowed to sell two cars/ trucks a year.
Funny in a town it calls itself a city with Couches on front porches and cars up on blocks, and refrigerator on the porches and code Enforers running around.
Toto I guess we are not in Arkansas any more we have been Annexed.

I'd strongly suggest doing the interior mock-up. It doesn't need to involve much more than moving the couch four feet off the wall. Look at the interface of your knees and shelves, elbows and door hardware. I've got a nice useless slide out dining table in the attic, as I skipped this step! Check the location of your fan and windows vs ventilation needs.

I did a full size masonite side template to be sure about the door / fender interface.

That looks like a Winebago mock up but someone put the W upside down. Like those W&W's that melt in your mouth not in your hands.

I made a mockup out of 3/4 plywood and it became the finished product. IMHO I think you would do just as well looking and several completed teardrops to get a feel for size and space. My TD is 5' wide and my matress is queen size same as home so I had a good feel for size there. I sat on the floor and had my wife measure from the floor to the top of my head so I would know about head clearance. In the end that is easily adjusted by the thickness of your matress. Once I had the bulkhead installed between the cabin and galley I knew how much room I would have for cabinets and went from there. I don't think a minature model would have helped me.
