Mine are 1 X 2’s ripped form 1 by 4 pine and poplar boards. The pine is on the top with poplar on the bottom. Making them 2 x 2’s. I have two 2X2 ribs running from the front to back. My aluminum roof panels will not have any plywood backer so I got carried away with the framing. The aluminum roof panels will be held on with double-sided carpet tape and the trim around the sides.

That's a long story for another time. And it wasn't my wife.

I'm glad I built my roof extra strong! I had over 200 lbs of raccoons on my roof. That's another story too....
