Cheap sink for Galley

Anything to do with mechanical, construction etc

Many campgrounds won't let you drain onto the ground so now you need to take along some more weight like a gray water tank.

My tear is only an 8 footer and a useful sink would take up most of the counter top so I use a plastic kitty litter tub which is just the right size for washing etc. When on the road I put it on the bed and fill with small things to keep them from rolling around.

Just an attempt to keep it simple. 8)

Ooooops. My ignorance is showing. What is the name of the bit type you use in a dremel to cut a hole in stainless steel?

Cheers,
John

I used a dremel and cut out a hole and intalled a drain with plumbers putty. All I have to do is cut out hole in the countertop and install. The sink and drain cost a total of $15.

We have the bowl sink but with no drain. I've found that once it's filled, its easy enough to lift out and dump in the bushes - keeps the dust down. We're pretty frugal with water so the most we're talking about is a gallon or so a day. The water goes the same place as a plastic tabletop dish pan and there's no fuss with grey water or a drain hose (tripping & mud under the trailer). I wouldn't change it next time. Plus, the "built-in" gives you a couple style points, if that matters.
