Since you are down inside the frame...how were you planning to attach you walls?

i stole from barb and made my floor 3/4" less on each side so the wall would be sitting on the wood framing.

hope barb does not mind me posting a pic of her floor she helped on..see the framing actually in the angle iron, then the floor on top is 3/4" less on each wall side so the wall sits on the frame. make sense now?

I get it. I'm kinda at a loss but I get it.
I can think of a couple of solutions off hand, none of which you want to hear. 8)
So I'll have to think about it for a bit.
Gotta get back to work right now.

I reiterate ....................

Errors ????

We builders do not make errors ....

Those are design changes that accomidate the other design changes that we had previously made to the original design.

Mandy if you start with it outta whack, in the future you will have those walls move on you.

For those who don't see, the walls are going inside the upturned angle. If the floor has a gap between them and the wall you will never be tight. Might be ok anyway but I would either get a new floor or add to that one.

A choice you won't be able to make later. You can use the ply for cabinets and bulkhead walls.

the walls arent actually going inside of the angle iron, just the subframe. the outta whack thing still holds true i believe.....grrrr....

guess this is what happens when a noob takes on something never done before! misktakes..err....learning points!!

now..i am still not sure what i am going to do with it as its all one solid peice at this point, glued and screwed together. so i either make up for the error somehow or completely start a new floor :( which i obviously do NOT want to do. i do appreciate all of you guys input.

Half the battle is knowing what's wrong... you can fix it, it might cost a little more, but making a pile of scrap is part of the learning process. Just take your time and do it to the level of perfection that pleases you. :D

The floor you have would make a really nice work table, just add legs

ha...your right i suppose...very nice rot resistant work table. that REALLY ticks me off...that stuff is really expensive to be applied for a work table.

i took the plywood off of the framing, and let me tell you they dont call it TITEbond for nothing. i reassembled the 2x4 on the trailer and its just...off, the trailer that is. now the thing i dont know what to do about is to build to the trailer being off as in, put the boards on the trailer where they actually fit and put them together or make a correct floor that's the right measurements and deal with the gaps :?

it really hurt me to tear that floor apart  but i guess it would hurt worse to tear a whole TD apart because of a bad floor in the end.

 Sorry Mandy! If it is just off a little you can compensate by cutting wood. If it is way off you might try taking it back for one that is not so off. Problem is if it is too off and you jack it you might break a weld. :? You might take the issue to the "Trailer and Chassis secrets" and ask for help getting it straighter.

If you cut wood to fix it you will want to keep that in the back of your head as you go.

Did you check the axle measurement.

well...i cant so much return it as i have already modified it. my dad welded some stuff on for me to create an a frame tongue, so i am pretty much stuck with the trailer, just need to decide how to move forward. it doesnt seem to be too terribly off, just enough to cause me some grief.

when you say axle measurements, do you just mean from the front of the trailer to the axle on both sides?

Hi Mandy

How about sweet talking pop into fixing the problem with the trailer. then remake the floor, you can always re use the one you have later in the build.Maybe a tongue box and the rest inside? :? Mark.

Mandy, if the frame is just out of square you can try this:

If the sides or ends are bowed you may be able to use ratchet straps to pull the bow in and straigten it.
