Jason,
Won't the bear just rip the galley hatch off if he wants in? The bears at Yosemite will rip the door off a car to get in. I was thinking of a little round soffit vent like this (but not in copper!)


That is why I am doing the edge of my hatch lid out of 1\4 inch angle iron that I bent using a torch. So the bears cant just rip it off.By the time they get rocking the trailer I will be out there spraying them with pepper spray . Got to love that pepper spray.

If you used a small fan like Bruce's you could mount it on the sidewall and put a large stainless clamshell over - like on engine compartment ventilation on a boat. Sorry, I don't have any photos to show but any marine supplier will carry them... Dave

I had looked at the round soffit vent but have decided to go with the power roof exhaust vent and sliding windows in the doors.
Pop ups are good (99 Coleman) But Tear drops are better!
