This is what our's looks like, though we've painted it black to match the rest now.

Neat! and clean. I like it. I have a 2" coupler at the cabin but using it never crossed my mind. :duh

I may adapt it as a backup. I have 3 of these silly trailers. One for tools. One for garbage, etc. and now the TD.

I used a similar coupler but to keep the drop in jack from scraping the ground I had to make a spacer block. That's one part you wouldn't want to bend.

I used a similar Atwood coupler. I think the best feature is you can use a conventional Jack in the front. After a while those "swing ups" tend to lean to one side.

I had a friend who is a farmer (600+ acres) and he told me it was more secure (as in staying attached, etc) than the other coupler type. Couldn't argue as he has hauled alot more than me...

Anyone know if that one is 1&7/8ths or 2"??? (the stock HF 1800lb trailer one)
