It poured buckets Saturday night, so all four of us huddled inside (my wife and I, our 7- and 10-yo sons) for the night. I've learned a lot about what we need to add into the trailer to make it comfortable. We need handholds in strategic places to move around, cubbies to put things, little shelves for things like eyeglasses, cell phones and the other junk you pull out of your pockets when you go to sleep.

Still working on some diagrams and measurements, then I'll undoubtedly have more questions.

Getting started is soooooo hard....

I put 2 of these little sterelite draw units in my tear. One in galley (shown) for silverware and cooking goodies and one just inside my front cabinet for just those kinda little pocket items you mentioned.

Thank you -- I did assume 2" in my measurements. Will go back and re-draft.

Following up -- what I've built and installed isn't quite as ambitious as I was planning, but I feel it still came out pretty well. What's here is a shelf about 26" from the floor, 17" deep. I've forgone the side wing extension covering the electrics, the doors, and the overhead shelves for now. I'm thinking I should use it a few more times before I commit to what to do to enhance it (phase 2, if you will...)

I'm going to put some plastic shelf bins under the counter for bits. What do you think?
