Need help on price for Baltic Birch plywood

Anything to do with mechanical, construction etc

$40/sheet

I bought my 5x5 baltic birch from a lumber supplier here in Western NC about 18 months ago, retail price paid $40/sheet.

I just found a place in Alexandria,VA that sells 1/2" BB for $27.50 a sheet. :D

Below is a link to my local lumber supplier, they have their plywood prices online. I am not sure what BBB grade means but the stuff I bought last weekend all had one absolutely perfect face and a couple footballs on the other face.

i bought my 5 x 5 1/2" BB plywood here in okc from a company called Phoenix Hardwood and i paid $15.00 a sheet , don't know if it is the tru stuff but it is cabinent grade 11 ply and looks damn good to me....

My local Specialty Lumber/Woodworking store has 5x5 Baltic Birch for $30 sheet. Population here is around 5,000. I called some places in Spokane (nearest "big" city) and couldn't find it for any cheaper.

As a side note, when looking for the 1/8" BB. I searched high and low, and ended up contacting the wholesaler directly. They gave me the cost before realizing I was the consumer - 50% Markup on that stuff! But it's good to know my local place isn't gouging me more. I like buying local, but too often it seems like the little guys gouge a little higher.

Got a quote in the UK for 10' x 5' sheets of 1/4 Birch BB grade of £40 per sheet + carriage + VAT

I thought that sounded Quite good. Looks like it is from what Im seeing here
