Has anyone found the antidote for Gorilla Glue?

Anything to do with mechanical, construction etc

Brian, you and I must be kin...I like to tear into my projects...you know, read the instructions, if all else has fails...

Not long ago, my hands were stuck to that Gorilla glue bottle when I noticed those words in small print...AVOID CONTACT WITH SKIN...yep, that crap has to wear off...

You would be out to eat and folks at the salad bar would be looking at your hands...

I feel your pain, Steve. I've been sitting here, rubbing my fingers together, flaking it off. I'm sure someone's going to think I have a nervous tic and hygiene problems from the dirty looking hands. Oh well; that's the way the crust flakes, I guess.

After working on Printing Presses for 28 years I've had to wear off ink colors many times. Try some WD-40, or lighter fluid. Sometimes WD-40 will cut thru stuff that heavy solvents wont.
Don't feel too bad. We use large bottles of Superglue at work. I had a loose piece of rubber on my work shoe. I decided to give it a little dab of glue and it would be good as new. The rubber stuck really good. And so did the bottom of my foot  . Seem there was a small hole all the way to the intereior of the shoe. I just snatched the thing off. Whats a little foot skin. Could have been worse. Lesson learned.

Thanks, Guys! Now I don't feel so bad! Oh well, they say that whenever you build something with your hands, you leave a little piece of yourself in it. A small price to pay.

I just managed to get the last of it off from last weekend. This weekend is two days away. Maybe a nice pair of opera gloves?

Sanding sponges work pretty well. Only takes an hour or two.

Does an antidote have to be taken orally?

Does an antidote have to be taken orally? This could influence your choice of solvents :?

How about nail polish remover? Has acetone in it, but is mild.

I use Rapid Remover to take Gorilla Glue off my hands. It's made for vinyl decal removal and is a form of orange cleaner.

When I first got some of this stuff I tried it on a grease spot on carpet that had been there for years, it came right off. Be sure to keep it away from sealed wood, it'll take the varnish right off.

When I'm working with Gorilla Glue, Helmsmans, grease and other nasty stuff I keep a bottle close by. A little spray on the hands then wipe it off with a paper towel.
