DIY STU and Cappy,
Do you have a glue to recommend for attaching the foam to the luan, or vice versa?

Thanks for the great ideas for wiring. I've got a booster [or whatever the correct name is] on my truck now to get plenty of power for when I'm pulling my boats. I'm going to use regular trailer wiring for the lights and license.

The biggest load I anticipate in the kitchen is my electric fry pan, the crock pot, and the microwave. [I'm married] and unfortunately these will be running at the same time, or at least I'll assume this for planning.

I also have to have a sound system and TV. My wifes idea of roughing it is to go to a resort without room service.

Thanks

Epoxy is foam safe. Go for a slower cure time to give you a stronger bond and longer work time.

Epoxy, but some of the foams have a thin plastic sheet over the foam. You need to remove the plastic film prior to making the sandwich. I read one guy on here found that slightly heating the surface with a hairdryer lets the film loosen from the foam for easy removal

I used epoxy on my test piece. It was crazy strong, rigid, flat, and lightweight. I was very happy with it. I removed the plastic film and then punched little holes in both sides of the insulation with a board that I put a bunch of brads through. I think that helped with the adhesion, strength, and rigidity. It was just a little 3' by 4' piece, but I could put it between two cinderblocks and stand on it.
