We don't really consider ourselves "campers" either, and it is not our goal to become campers for the sake of camping. We would probably never visit a remote campsite unless we had a compelling reason, like a gathering, or unless it was our only, or most convenient, option.

What we like to do is TRAVEL, and we like to ride our bicycles in new places (roads, paths and rail/trails, not switchbacks). Our teardrop will be taking the place of hotel rooms and, to some extent, restaurants as we go from one place to the next and we would be more likely to look for an RV park with a clubroom, nice bath house and pool than a remote campground. (That leads me to another question, but I'll save that for another thread.)
So now I am wondering why I hadn't even considered a microwave, a full sink, ( or a TV/DVD player) before, now that I realize I would most certainly have electricity, and access to city water, nearly all of the time.
I will be scrapping my current plan and starting over, thanks to your valuable insight. (Man, I LOVE this forum!!)
