Nice job on the " FIX "
Should be able to disappear with finishing, Makes me wanna cry when something like that happens.
And in the end, its always fixable, 9 years ago I removed half my palm with a router, most painfull thing in the world and it still feels today

Should look pretty good when you're done. If the patch had been longer (think of a teepee, laying on it's side), the match would have been less noticeable. Still, I think you'll be OK.

Yeah there have been many times I have screwed up for various reasons and I think how can I fix this. This is challenging my wood working skills for sure. I am use to hiding mistakes with drywall spakle and paint.
