The Ideal Galley?

I not ashamed to say that I stole the slide out counter idea from Gage. The fans are for the cabin. I'm not going to take them out or anything but I'm glad I roughed in for a ceiling fan.

I don' think that I have the ideal galley, but this is what it looks like. It is in a 4x8 Cubby. The Side table is used for the cookstove. It gives us alot of extra space and gets the cooking grease out from under the hatch. Just sliding doors in the upper cabinets and two swinging doors on the bottom. And yes, before anyone ask, I know that the patterns are opposite to each other on the bottom doors. (I didn't notice until they were already half done and I did not have more birch on hand)

With a bracket that I got from an RV dealer. Actually the idea came from pateardropper on this board. One part fastens to the tear and the other to the table. The leg is a paint pole that I got at Home Depot

I just take it off and put it inside the cabin on top of the mattress. The table is 24 x 30 inches BTW.

This is what I did, next time I would make all the, behind the counter doors, as sliders like Tom S. (very nice work Tom). I have to move the goodies on the counter from side to side to access the cabinets and contents.

All we use is a simple shelf with a swing out extension. Prefer to load kitchen stuff in plastic containers so we can clean and load easily in the house. This allows me to pit EZ up and everything else in the rear/galley area.

I kind of like it that way. I've gone from not knowing what birch was to really liking all the different patterns of the grains. I purposely picked pieces that had the most variations it whenever I could to give it character.
