Sorry, I did not mean to insult. I guess there are always different ways of looking at a thing and it is perfectly normal to shop around.

It has been awhile and I'll have to look for the company name but I purchased manufactured doors and RTA drawer boxes. I did construct the cabinet boxes and face frames as well as building from scratch my cedar chest tongue box. Door and especially drawer measurements need to be precise so I waited until my cabinet boxes were installed before ordering doors and drawers. I could and have built cabinet doors and drawers but the time saved was well worth the premium for someone else building them.

Tom's thoughts and cabinet/drawer building process mirror my intentions.

When I am ready, like Tom once my cabinet boxes are built, I will buy RTA drawers. Probably from lakesidemoulding.com/dovetail-drawer-boxes which are priced from $17/each plus shipping. A great buy in my opinion.

At this time I do not know who I will order pre-made doors from. It seems well worth buying pre-made doors when I am ready for them with accurate measurements for the style and wood species I prefer.

I made my own side entry doors for the teardrop which didn't turn out to be a good idea, mostly because they warped. I don't want to have a replay wasting my time and money with the cabinet doors or drawers.

Steve,

You've refreshed my memory. I bought my drawer boxes and cabinet doors from Lakeside Moulding. There service was great, and the products were well packaged and delivered on the date as promised. I had too short but comparatively wide doors on my upper galley cabinets. I was using cup hinges and specified them on the short side which is not standard. They contacted me to double check the hinge locations. I can't say enough about their service and quality.

Take care,
Tom
