The deadbolt fits behind the door jamb and the latch sits about in the mid part of the jam. I am waiting to fabricate SS striker parts until after I varnish and put in the weather stripping. First things first of course. Weather stripping will dictate where the striker plates shall be placed for a tight fit.

I think the lock set looks great. Is it smaller than a normal lock set. I went to lowes and the only similar lock set I saw looked larger and cost 160$, ouch I have two doors. How much did yours set you back. Bob

$14.95 each set Bob, They were made for storm doors 1" to 1 1/4" thick. The setback was much less than a regular lockset too. They wern't with the regular door locksets in the store, but with the screen door closers and that stuff.
