Yep, those are exactly my concerns with it. Hopefully the design process pushes that finite number high enough to be irrelevant for our purposes, but I don't want to deliberately install a potential point of failure that could have truly disastrous consequences on the highway. I wouldn't consider preaching that opinion to anyone else thinking of using them because I have absolutely no personal experience with those ones in particular, but I wouldn't feel comfortable using them myself until I had demonstrated their robustness for myself under worse conditions than I would likely ever experience. Even so, if I had some lengths lying around, I would definitely use them in less critical applications until I was comfortable with them.

As well, this IS going to be a winter camping rig, though hopefully it'll be taking me somewhere warmer during this long Xmas break each year 8) 8)

Enough goofing off, gotta get back to work on the build !
