Happy 5th birthday thread. I had almost forgotten about it, and it is hard to believe it has been five years.

I agree totally with Andrew, a good scarf joint would be much stronger, but this joint is a lot simpler, and fast to make.

As to the router jigs, any cheapo dovetail template will work, and the old Harbor Freight dovetail jig I used can still pull double duty since the template comes off with two screws.

Just remember to not dryfit the joint or you will damage the ply fingers taking it apart.
