Beat it back in shape, Then welded a plate under it so that it passes through the plate, as a re-inforcement!
Very solid! Good-to-go!!

Your HUMONGOUS TD looks Awesome Steve! You should be proud!!

Thanks Kiddo!! ;)
I cut the parts from 1/4" ply, using a pattern and router, then glued them to a piece of 1/2" ply. The dark strip in the front is some left-over mahagony trim from the cabinets. It's edge-glued to the ply.

A work of art

Postby plbecker » Fri Jun 15, 2007 4:28 pm

Since I am a first time builder using the "scraps" of an old 13' travel trailer, I feel in awe of what you can do with a bit of plywood. I am just wishing for a dry trailer with working lights....you don't set your goals too high for a first one.

Pics of the build?

Postby diychick » Mon Jun 25, 2007 11:10 am

Hi,

I've been following the Rondack closely for many months. It's my dream tear, that's for sure. Scraping pennies together to hopefully place an order!

Did anyone get pics from the n.y. event?

I just got the journal caught up to where I was before the Tear-uP!
I'll get some more shots of the current progress this week. I just came in from a tense couple of hours, setting up the hatch gas springs!
I should get the galley wrapped up before a week off at the Cape!

A beautiful work of art, I mean, of Steve.

Absolutely gorgeous.
Still graced with two eyes and ten fingers (due in no small part to luck!).

Just when you think a problem is solved, an uglier result replaces it.

Stunning! That looks to be a good size! Not to big, not to small. When you get tired of it, can it be delivered to Long Beach, CA. Oops, wait, sorry, I was drooling all over my keyboard.
Why just dance, when you can Salsa!

Thanks everyone!
Next I'll be installing the galley cabinet doors/drawers, and the flooring inside.
I still have the fenders to finish, maybe, before the trip to Mystic for the Tearjerkers meet.
I have a week off for a trip to Cape Cod in between..A welcome break from building! I'll do a lot of fishing, sleeping, try out my new Camera, eat seafood, sleep, fish, sleep, fish, sleep..... :beautiful:

Check the build journal on my site! I'm not completely caught up on the pics!
I'll be taking a few shots of progress as of tonight, and I'll post them to my journal also.

Hey, did you just add that? I checked your site and didn't see any of the "Lodge" which is why I asked.
