How about vinyl or naugahyde to cover teardrop?

Anything to do with mechanical, construction etc

Naugas.

As a dealer and distributor of the naugahyde (Uniroyal) brand for many years, I can assure you that these are genuine naugahas - the two in this photo are in the throws of the "mating" ritual.

Easier to store until needed, and doesn't need polishing. By the way Dguff excellent price on the link, how was shipping. So I guess #2 may become Hyde-away #2.
Thanks

Oop's sorry I looked again and found the shipping calculator on that link. Hmmm, enough to cover the tear with shipping and less than one sheet of aluminum.

question for those that used foam underneath. Did you just use standard upholstry foam?

Right now my plans are leaning towards a vinyl top and havr a few questions for those that have done it. What did you use to seal the vent, side trim, huricane hinge, etc, silicone? butyl tape?
When I did the diamond tuck vinyl headliner in #1, the screws would pucker the foam and vinyl, so I would go slowly until I felt the vinyl or foam start to wrap around the screw, then back it out, then go again, after the second or third time the screw would grab the paneling headliner and would be ok, did anyone experience anything similar and if so what was your solution?
Thanks
Aaron
If I could shut my brain off, I could save myself alot of time, money and effort.

Aaron,
I predrilled for that reason. Worked a charm. Sealed with the tape stuff from the RV store. Just do your pre drilling before you lay down the tape
