Oh, man. Now I've gotta wait until May to see it in person! You're killing me, Danny

noticed you were thinking of using water base contact adhesive on your trailer. I've used many different kinds doing commercial millwork over the years. some are good and some are not so good but none of them so far, are great. in the millwork business you end up bonding everything to everything else. wood, metal, plastic, foam, cloth, you name it. the best suff I've ever used is called Sta-Put. it's a solvent base product that is designed to spray on. it comes in canisters (like propane canisters) that have their own spray gun attached, aerosol cans (not that great application but good for little jobs on site) and pails that you spray through a regular spray gun or pressure pot. you can even get it formulated for brush or roller use. (not so good but works well for site work where you can't afford to make any mess)

the stuff sticks like hell. as good or better than the best solvent base adhesives and you can bond in a minute or less once both surfaces are sprayed. it spays very fine (good control, no drips runs or lumps) and you don't need much, but the best thing is the solvent isn't nasty headache inducing acetone. don't know what it is but it is almost as if there's no solvent in it at all smell wise. it's as nice to apply as water base stuff but faster and has the grip that most water base products can't produce. this is the real deal. it will bond almost anything to anything. most postform countertops you buy have their laminate bonded with it (try bonding plastic laminate to particle board around a 5/8"" radius edge with water base).. and most millwork companies have gone to it now.

try it, satisfaction guaranteed!! http://www.taccint.com/staput.html

Postby Jerry Bleeg » Sat Feb 13, 2010 11:41 am

A few months back I recommended a site for foam. http://www.foambymail.com/BasicQueenFirm.html
Did you ever decide. I like their prices but have yet to make my purchase and am looking for recommendations.
BTW, Beautiful work

So far in my searching for a mattress foamorder.com seems the best deal for the mattress cover if you order their discount material.

foamproducts.com is willing to make a 4" med firm with a 1" memory foam top layer for a reasonable price.
Locally the guy quoted $667  for mattress (no memory) & cover.

Ikea is a consideration.

We are using the mattress from TD#2 in TD#3 so we're fine for now.
Can only use one TD at a time  .
:D Thanks, Danny
