I had designed a water system for a custom trailer build a while ago and thought the water heater would be a good thing to post here. The L5 - Portable Tankless Water Heater http://www.eccotemp.com/gas_water_heater_continued.html bottom of the page. Low GPM to help conserve water, uses two D cell batteries for ignition and runs off a propane tank. If you have an on board water system setup with a pump this would work great.

I know about these little heaters. We have a food cart that has to have hot water for a hand washing sink.

This little heater works everyday without fail. The only problem is the lower mount broke after many miles of dirt road with lots of washboard. We simply riveted it back on and it has held since. We have 2 more on order to build the next couple of food carts. I have seen on other forums were people have mounted them inside, and vented them outside with clothes dryer type vents. We have ours mounted on the front of the cart with no problem. The best part is, is that it has temporary "hooks" to hang from an rv ladder with quick connects for your plumbing.
I guess to sum it up, is that we make a living off our cart and this heater works everyday. When the Health Inspector shows up for inspection, we never have to worry about showing that we have hot and cold washing water.

Nice little rig. All it needs is a bed and you have a well outfitted teardrop!
