Lockable storage for valuables?

I'm mostly with the hidden, secret place crowd. If it looks locked up, there must be a reason so they will find a way to open what ever is locked.

It seems a "Lock box" for a firearm would be an easy fix.It could be welded to the frame and accessed from under the matteress or hidden in a bulkhead.They're small secure and fairly easy to get into.Security and secrecy both work to foila theif so combining them should be the ticket.
