Gives you a lower profile going down the road, yet should be tall enough for the tandam bike. I like the Sequoia's galley access from the outside world rather than inside. The galley would need to slide out on a drawer.
The nice part about the rear access is that you also get to have a porch. A rear attached "ramp" could be supported on the far end by jack stands or something, giving a nice platform to egress the trailer, remove boots, set stuff down, etc. If it was expanded metal porch, one could even hang a shower curtain off of the pop-up's rear over hang, put a pastic tub under the "porch" and have 95% of a shower done. The same area could also screen a port-a-poty when not used as a shower.
Still dreaming, not building...

alaska teardrop wrote:Just another idea Mike, Contain your bike and it's grime in a made-for plastic equipment bag. Build a lightweight trailer (say, 4.5x8x4) to the shape of your choice with a traditional rear hatch that meets the bumper. Make your galley open to the cabin under the galley countertop. Slide the bike in full length lying on it's side. Fredthe worlds' farthest North teadrop builder.

I like your avatar... that's exactly what I was thinking the other day...
As for your question... Andrews Compact is here...
http://www.angib.pwp.blueyonder.co.uk/t ... tear48.htm
And the sequoia is here...
http://www.glen-l.com/campers/sequoia.html
I think Bev might have some pictures of that online too... opps... they are not there any more... I'll put a few up for you...
Mike...
P.S. I would still slope the back of your trailer a little bit... you can still get your bike in there...

Sorry. I found Andrew's site first, then this one, for some reason I have it in my head that everyone uses it as a starting point. Anyway, Angib's website is now conveniently accessable through "Design Library" at the top of your screen.
Getting the tandem inside is the key-
I am probably only going 4 ft wide, I would like to go 5, but really do not want the trailer any wider than my tow vehicle (PT Cruiser), and weight is a concern as the pt is not exactly overabundant in the power department.
