Try it!

Cheers,

Thank You Coop that was easy. Can you grab more that one quote? Danny

I installed the LED clearance lights and porch light today. Spent a lot of time re-adjusting the door I'll use so it can be closed real quiet so not to wake Jane. I had to make a special aluminum catch/stop. Danny

Thanks Doug, Now that the metal work is almost complete I can focus on the work I do best the cabinets. I plan on doing the galley in Canary wood with Black Walnut accents & raised panel doors & Red Oak raised panel doors in the cabin. It should look pretty sharp. Every shop needs a T.V. to watch old westerns or Norm while working on the weekend. Yes I'm definitely itichin to get it on the road hopefully before the end of next week to make it legal. I don't know when the Redwoods will be but we are planning a trip to Yosemite some time in August. I'll PM you before we head that way since your some where in the Shasta area, I think. Danny :D

Wow. :o

That's truly an inspiration, man! I hope ya don't mind, but I saved a copy of that side view to the hard drive. Gonna print it out and tack it up somewhere so I know what I'm shooting for.

Excellent, and can't wait to see the galley.

That thing has turned out great there halfdome. Job well done. I'm sure the interior will look as nice as the exterior. Say just for kicks, do you happen to have a close up of the door. Like to see how the hinge area turned out up close. Or have you already done that and I just missed it? It still looks good.

Have a good day.

Dear Danny,

Really nice work. Pleasing to the eye. Can't wait to see the wood combo on the galley. The vision sounds appealling. Keep going.

WoodieGA, You have the right idea. Thats the way to reach your goals is to put up a photo of what you want to accomplish, it will remind you constantly. When ever I want a new truck or whatever I do the same. If you like the profile I used contact Grant Whipp at http://www.teardrops.net/LilBear/trailers.html he has a free tracing offering and my profile is the l'il Bear 10'.

Gauge, Here is a close up of the hinge (door half open) and all my scratches from the aluminum supplier. There is no binding and the door shuts with ease with just a click. Danny

Here is a link to some sample pieces of Canary wood that I'll use in the galley. Whenever I go to Crosscut Lumber in Seattle I look for premo pieces so most of what I have is very colorful and it looks great with Black Walnut. Danny

Doug, I'm doing what some would call a golden Oak stain on the Red Oak cabin and just a clear finish on the Canary Wood & Walnut galley. The clear makes all the colors pop. This is a photo of Walnut and Canary Buffett I did some years ago. Sorry it didn't scan too clear but the two woods in person are amazing. Danny

Thanks Clancy, Guy & Dean. I'm not sure if we could make it to the Redwoods in July as we will only have a little over a week for our trip and it's in August sometime. Danny

Halfdome,

Hope you don't mind.............I took the liberty to try and make the colors better represent your beautiful Buffet.
