Scott
I have changed my mind a dozen times. I actually purchased a large piece of white rubber roofing from a rv dealer, used on coaches for roofing. The same material John Spratt used on his. But I am currently looking into dyeing the material green, so the end result would similiar to Len's Slumbercoach. But, if dyeing isn't possible, I might apply epoxy to the luan skin, sanding smooth, and paint the epoxy green. I put screws in the luan to hold it will the glued dried, so I have to color the top somehow. Steve Frederick tints his epoxy black and covers door jambs and such, so I am going to contact him and see if green tint is possible. The front portion will be stripped up to about the apex of the curve. At least that's today's Plan!?!

I use system-3 colorants. I don't have a link, sorry. Just get the colors you need to make Green. I've also used polyurethane enamel over sanded epoxy, in the jambs, and underside.

Dan, I am going to sound like an idiot but here goes. My mother being daring and resourseful used green food coloring and linseed oil to refinish an old rocking chair twenty years ago. It turned out a very dark green pickled look and looks as good today as it did 20 years ago. My thoughts are similar green food coloring and baby oil or maybe a tinted alcohol and oil or alcohol and water mix to soften the rubber. You might try it on a scrap of material.

Thats about where I'm at. I want the top something different than white now! An auto painter friend suggested what Steve said. Coat the top with epoxy, and paint it with green enamel.

Dan, can you picture the top being a dark brown? I think that would REALLY draw all the attention to the stripping woodwork and not the roof..........

I'm thinking brown, or a tan color. I wonder how Luan ply, sealed and 'glassed might work??? Sealing the edges of a tin/rubber roof would require a trim? I'm thinking that, in my opinion, anything white, silver..will detract from the great job you've done on the stripping.
It's a great job so-far!
