Glassice
I hope you will do just that. I don't like the Roswell but really would like to see it done. I think of a balloon busted and the frame left. ;)

I do understand people tend to think faster than they write or type. Especially if they are very familiar with thier subject. Then there is the short-hand speak that comes from IM.

BTW- Glassice you have picked up and corrected a lot of the typing issues. Thank you. When I finish my woody I might think about fiberglass enough to read a book so I can ask questions.

Welcome to the Family. You too Hoot.

It's kinda' obvious from all this that a F/ glass' TD is a serious undertaking ....and from the tribulations that glass' has gone through , and all the materials he has used , it 's also not cheap ...or easy .... Boatbuilders are bemused!!!!.... The thing to do is make a mould, like one for building a boat hull (TD cabin shell , no floor ) either spray (CG) or hand lay up material ... time consuming and messy . insert foam walls etc, (flotation ) f/g over the foam ...or use interior mould for "finished" appearance... Basic FG boatbuilding 101... Not Cheap or easy .... all phases require experience in material handling and application ...not really for the homebuilder.... unless you're gonna' make a bunch of them .... nice thing is the come out of the mould nice and smooth with a gel coat finish ... metalflake anyone .... for inspiration , check out a local FG boat dealer and see what they've done ... Why heck , you could make a serviceable TD with a boat hull, inverted and on a trailer ... wanna' go fishing .... you get the idea... Right !!!????

:D if you have ever Sean some one put on finger Polish that what gel coat is and to me wood whoud be so much harder for make one you could make long panel then 2 side cut like ply wood and glue together the h-d foam is strong for the main shell the glass is to stop you from put your finger throe the foam it the foam that replace the wood and when you fell between the in side and out it like a kids bounce house be for i retired i made thing tor the gov. that go bump in the nigh can you say airy 51

I'm surprised about the bad press glassice has gotten. I appreciate what he is attempting to do. Whatever his background he sure knows what he is talking about, and I'm willing to listen and learn.

Yes, some of his posts are difficult to decypher least he doesn't get mad and snarkey when you say so. Some people can't take any negative criticism.
