Anything to do with mechanical, construction etc

Danny:

Thanks for your email. 8)

Have been watching this thread and your fine workmanship.

So enjoy seeing your attention to detail.
The water drip guard below the doors is one such detail.
I would enjoy the very large galley shelf and the ample storage.
Your stove seems like it will be perfect for your use.
The wood finish details inside the cabin are finessed.
The outside finish and design with the flawless lines, including
the TongueBox is pleasing and finished to the eye.
I like the added tongue light for hooking uP with ease.
The wheels and fender chrome details give such a nice finished look as well.

Have a couple of quick questions, if you please?
Can you share the difference in weight between #1 & #2?
On the #1 ... what is the tongue weight, compared to #2?

Steve your so kind, thank You. TD #1 weighs about 1500# with a tongue weight of about 283#. It does tow like a dream even with that much tongue weight.
TD #2 weighs approx 1355# with a 170# tongue weight. I was shooting for 150# tongue weight but the box weighs 55# by itself  . Neither #1 or #2 tongue boxes are physically attached to the teardrop and could be removed if so desired. I noticed TD #2 did dance a little in the winds of Central California and the added tongue box should cure that. The tongue box light still needs to be hooked up and I'll add one inside the box too. I turned 8 Walnut finials shaped sorta like teardrops today to hold 3/8" wood dowel rods for the curtains. The finials will have a compression spring for removing and replacing the dowel rods. I think it's a much better set up than what is offered in the stores. :D Danny

Hi Greg, good to hear from you. Jane just loves the new laminate color/pattern and the way the Canary Wood turned out. Each board has a different look and I got lucky with the two boards I mixed together. She does get confused sometimes which TD is in the garage  . Thanks, :D Danny

Danny very nice. I enjoyed meeting you and your wife last month, and seeing both your trailers in person is a treat. To say your cabinet skills are good would be an understatement. Hope to see you again.
