asphalt emulsion

This has been covered in many posts, but.... The posts seem to only specify a brand. Henry is what is available locally and they have a bunch of differnt products. http://www.henry.com/Protective_Roof_Coatings.20.0.html


I purchased Henry 107, and before I apply, I wanted to makes sure this is what others had used and what their experience has been.

I used Gardner's asphalt. I used Henry's adhesive to glue the aluminum down though.

Give it plenty of time to dry/cure. It's impressive stuff in a prehistoric kind of way....

Just checking - When I was reading the instructions (I know as guys we're just supposed to plunge ahead) I didn't read much about applying to wood and it is not a solvent based material.

it's one of those things that are kinda hard to "undo"!

I used Gardners but because it was near when I was ready (remembered) to buy.

I didn't let mine cure completely and it stuck solid to the frame. Only a jack or some big ol girls are gonna get it up. I decided it might be a good thing.
