My Vinyl Roof!

Thought I would share last weekends project. I was looking for materials to use on my roof, inspired by warpony's diamond plate roofing, and I ran across this. (It's very nice vinyl.)

It looked pretty good and the price was right so I ordered some. Did a lot of testing with different adhesives but none came out smooth enough for my liking. I decided to put it on with no glue and staple it on the edges. The vinyl has some stretch to it so I just worked my way along stretching and stapling as I went. Anyway this is what I came up with.

So far I haven't seen any bubbling or ripples in the vinyl and the staples are holding strong. If I made a mistake I can always redo it later on.

Also you can see my "curved roofline with a flat vent" in these photos. It's worked out pretty well. I did use some PL adhesive to hold the vinyl down around the vent opening.

That's all for now. Later.

Hey that is a good buy!
I have purchased stuff from them before and was very happy with the product and the service. It's funny, I was looking at their site yesterday for another project but didnt see this.

Let us know how it works for you.

Thank you all for the comments. I will give updates, good or bad, as I see changes. Still a lot to do before she's road worthy and I'm going slow on the fit and finish. It'll be worth it.

VS, good to hear what you say about taking time on the fit and finish...it will be worth it...that is one place that people get to and then lose their patience 'cause of the time spent to get there and then they hurry up the process...fit and finish is what seperates the good the bad and the ugly....IMHSHO
