28' Tear Drop Trailer - Sort of

I am brand new to this forum so I thought I would start of by saying hello all. I am a 30 year old software engineer with a passion for building. I have been building projects from a major 2 story house addioton to baby furniature. When I got married, we loved camping and I have always loved tear drop trailers, and I actually bought a pop-up trailer to convert to a tear.

The problem is that my family kept growing and the plans cept getting larger and larger. Mom, no longer liked the idea of cooking outside, where would the kids sleep and so on.... So..... I thought if I was going to all the work of building a small trailer, why not make a big trailer? That was in March of this year, I am now waist deep in my trailer build and It no longer resebles a teardrop, other than the front design. If you look close at the profile turned vertical, can you see my original shape???? I turned the tear on its side and went to the big time rig of a 28' fiver. Take a look at all the build photo's and the floorplan at my website

Chadn,

Okay, I went through the entire slide show. :? I'll have to admit that's a pretty darned ambitious undertaking, but it's obvious you have the skills, tools, and working knowledge to do it.

Looks great and I know your family will enjoy it for years to come. :applause:  :applause:  :applause:  :applause:

Chad, 10 or 12 feet is about as long as we do here as far as TTT's go but that is one heck of an interesting and LARGE build.....

Chadn,

What a neat project and as my 13 year old son says - "Hey pops checkout way cool teardrop-The teardrop on steriods". Just kidding. I really enjoyed your pictures, because it seems like yesterday when my 13 year old was just like your little guy. Watch it, because they grow up fast. But, you cannot beat Quantity garage time with your son on a project. DO NOT forget to get him involved early so that when he is 13 he can run a saw, weld and run a skidloader better than most guys. Plus, the conversations that result would never happen watching TV. From the Mideast to stem cell research the questions just flow. I thank the good Lord for my good fortune to have that opportunity. So much for that.
You, my friend are looking might fine.

Marty

 I didn't see no stinking windows in the hatch. I think maybe you are looking at the wrong trailer.

Have a good day.

And chadn, call it what it is. Don't be calling it a teardrop so you can fit into a group.
