Teardrops n Tiny Travel Trailers

I have been hard at it. wishing it ws done, but I am getting there. I put on a front wall today, but I took new photos before I did. Miles to go before I sleep.

always thought a canoe had a rounded bottom,looks like a pirogue to me.i had a few of them down here in the bayou. but the trailers looking good.like the roof rack.have you tried putting your little boat up there yet.are u gonna put it up there by yourself or have help all the time?


edit- just looked at all of your album and u did call it a pirogue in one photo maybe its eazier to call it a canoe because a lot of people wouldnt know what you were talking about

Good job, like your idea of putting the camper on top of the trailer side walls.

The camper follows the canoe carrier design. The boat is definately pirogue all the way. Yes I have had it on top.........are you kidding...how could I resist. It will be no trouble for me to slide it on by myself. The pirogue weighs 65 pounds.

The camper sets on the box of the trailer on a steel frame that is 3 inches wider on the sides. This gives me a shelf around the inside where my bed will lay. The storage under the bed will be good for anything from fire wood to muddy decoy bags. The bed floor will be removable in 90 seconds. set up in about that much time also. It gives me a 51 inch wide sleep area.

Really COOL , and very similar to my plans for the Airliner... No nonsense layout is Most Practical ... I gotta end up 54" wide ... can't wait to see more !!!!!!... Where didja' get a pirogue in Mo. ????? "float on tops" only 40 lbs ... work great for a couple of those too , and perhaps a bicycle or two ....

I made the pirogue, with my own modified design from the 6 hour canoe and Uncle John's plans. I made it a bit wider than most pirogue plans call for. With spud holes it is a stable shooting platform for the ducks.

I got the roof on the new trailer this weekend and the doors in the rear, but wondering how I will latch the rear doors.



I will be glassing the top this week. That is going to be a non stop long task. I think I might need to recruit some help.
