I have been reading alot about sealants on this site... Almost all agree in some kind of penetrating epoxy.

Doing research I found a key element in most "Aliphatic Urethane"

My thought is to use a garage floor sealant with Aliphatic Urethane.

This product states that it can be used on wood.

If I find a product like this do you think it might work???????

Was planning a thin coat to penetrate first, then a thick coat to finish.

Looking for any help....... with the hurricane coming... I will need to keep busy.

There is another tear that is coated with Garage floor epoxy. This product

recommend you topcoat EpoArmor®

. Check you pricing. You may find Marine epoxy less expensive even though you top coat.

We put a two-component (resin and hardner) epoxy on our garage floor several years ago. One thing I noticed in shopping was that most of the "epoxy" paints sold to the general public are one-component. In other words they have cured epoxy solids in a solvent carrier. Although you get abrasion resistance of the epoxy solids, you don't get the real benefit of a monolithic coating like you do with a two-component coating.

The two-component urethane topcoat sounds interesting though.

VERY slippery when wet!!!
