I want to use silicone sealant for the door, windows and power vent any pros or cons. What is this putty I keep hearing about? Is it butal rubber tape? Dale G. Smith

...yes, it is butyl rubber tape...personally I don't like nor trust silicones, preferring a urethane sealant such as auto windsheild sealant or Sikaflex 225..........
