What is your opinion?

A friend of mine gave me the idea of using a router and doing a 1/4 inch round over on the edge where roof and wall meet. What do you think of that? It would give the trailer a smoother look. I wanted to run it up the flagpole before I did anything that might hose me up. :)

It would look nicer if you are not going to put anything else there and it's your final edge. A radius corner will hold up over time versus a sharp 90 deg edge. Paint etc sticks better to a rounded edge vs a sharp edge too. :) Danny

I did that on mine and it worked great. I diluted some Titebond II, brushed it on the edges and let it soak in and before I used the router. I found out by testing that the cheap lauan will splinter badly otherwise. When it was dry I routered a nice radius on all of the corners. After sanding I applied diluted epoxy on the entire camper obviously including the corners. A little sanding and paint and it looks great. Certainly takes away the hard lines of the camper and they seem more resistant to impact than a sharp corner.

I really like the way Steve Cox did his bent lamination trim on his tear I saw at Anastasia today. It was radiused very nicely too. Beautiful job.

Thanks you guys. I am going to do it. Oh, and EZ thanks for the headsup about the diluted titebond deal. I would have made that mistake.
