Teardrops n Tiny Travel Trailers

Sorry, I have looked all over this site and can't find a name for the trim I want. I know a few places sell aluminum and I may have to go with that , but I have seen a couple of teardrops that had vinyl that covered about an inch and a half of the roof and an inch and a half down the sidewall it looked like it used the metal flat trim piece that has a rubber insert in it on top of it for dressing it up. Anyone know where I can buy that stuff? It just seems to be a piece of vinyl with a 90 degree in the middle. Thanks, Bill

I don't know anyting about the vinyl moldings you mentioned, but there are at least 3 different bendable aluminum edge moldings:
1. RV Roof Edge Molding (has the vinyl inert on the top that covers the mounting screw channel and screws), available at any good RV Repair & Supply outlet
2. Regular Edge Molding (simple "L"-type, with holes punched for screws on the long[top] flat), available at any good RV Repair & Supply outlet and a couple of Teardrop Parts peddlers (like myself ... ;-} ;-} ...)
3. Reproduction Vintage Edge Molding (exact reproduction of the edge moldings found on vintage KITs & Ken-Skills & others), available from R,W, Johnson, www.teardroptrailers.net , and the Teardrop Fix-It Shop, www.teardropparts.com , and possibly others (NOT me).

I used the All-Rite M24 Wide Lip Insert http://all-rite.com/ (Insert Moldings) with the plastic screw cover. I bought mine locally (Arvada, Co)

Thanks Everyone lots of great info. Since this is my first anything build I am thinking of going cheap and easy and the next one I will put more money into after we decide what we want and need. I was at Lowes and spotted the garage door trim. What kind of adhesive did you use please and did it need to be scored to fit?
