Teardrops n Tiny Travel Trailers

I'm looking to add an outside table.
I have seen at least two methods... One being a "channel" mounted on the trailer (with a corresponding one on the table end), and another method whereby the table end couples vertically using 2, for lack of a better term, "insert tab A into slot B" brackets.

Any words of wisdom as to which of these might be better, or has anyone experience with an additional alternative??

Also.. any pros/cons re. covering the table in copper sheeting ???
For that matter, has anyone done their kitchen in copper counters??

I bought the channel you talk about at the local rv dealer. If you had to buy it online, I know that fish house supply has it, even though it's not listed on their webpage. You'll have to email them for that.

They only con to copper I can think of is the oxidation. Of course for some, that is a desirable trait. Personally, I like the shiny copper.

I just ordered the brackets you describe from McMaster-Carr (part # 8032A37), $15 per pair.

Not the best thing to have for a food preparation surface. Verdigris (the green that forms on copper) is highly poisonous - I believe it's actually a form of arsenic.

Besides, I have better things to do when camping than polish copper!

I had an outside table that hooked to the side of my Benroy. There was a wooden strip screwed to the side of the trailer with a slot in the top. The table had an aluminum angle attached to the bottom that hooked into the slot.

The table that came with the trailer was way too small so I made a larger one covered with aluminum and sized it to fit my coleman stove. I found a great solution for the leg, I got an aluminum adjustable length paint roller handle from Home Depot. I also got a threaded socket that I inserted into the bottom of the table so I could just screw the leg in. I could make the table level by adjusting the leg.

I sold the trailer and I didn't take any pictures of how it was made but it was pretty simple.

I was thinking about that this afternoon too. That is very creative. I might end up using something similar on the Lil Diner.
