I'm not sure if anyone has ever tried this; or, if it is even feasible. But; on a stripper TD, would a rolltop; like that used for a desk...be cool or what? OK....so; it's a little weird; I just wanted to find out anyway!!

It is a great idea.

Daunting engineering, but a super idea. It should be possible to make rain channels on the side that would drain.

Lots o' work, though.

maybe one like a powered pickup truck bed cover.......power open would be cool and they roll up into their own box......just have to curve the bed rails.........there goes the canopy over your galley

You're regular hatch also "kind of" covers you from a little rain, and gives you a place to hang a paper towel roll and install lights.

I did neither, but many do.

I saw a truck bed cover the other day that was made like that, out of metal. Like a tonneau cover, but it rolled toward the front of the truck. I thought it would make a great roof that could open up like a skylight.
