Hello All- I am currently building the "Rimple". An interesting choice I am sure you'll agree, but I have a reason. Simple and necessary. I like to volunteer for archeological digs, and this past Sept. I was on a dig with
the Forest Service for 5 days in the Mark Twain Nat'l Forest, South of Rolla, Mo. I had to live in a tent. I loved the camping, I loved the Forest, I loved the Dig. Tent camping SUCKS. I am too old for that silliness(66).
The rest is history. On Oct 2nd I googled Tiny Trailers, and here I am.
I lurked around for several days, for the PFD drawing for the Simple, and almost went with it, but chose the Rimple. Trailer was purchased, HF 1450LBS, 12" Wheels. 4 X 8. 7 Hours, approx 200 nuts & bolts later finished.( Thank God for air rachets) Just yesterday, I raised the sides for a profile look, I was pleased. Then I remembered Photos so I took a couple. I don't know if I will be able to get them to show here but I will try.
I thought I would respond for the moral support and advice I will be needing. I am currently trying to develope a wiring plan. Thanks for all the posts I have enjoyed reading. I will ask alot of questions, and if I can, answer a few. Take care, Tom

:( Well, I tried to paste my photo and failed, I will fiqure it out shortly.

Saw that you bought Harbor Frieght 1450#. I am considering the HF 1800# or 1175# trailer. I haven't come across the HF 1450# anywhere. Can you give me a link or tell me about it? Thanks. :)

The design is certainly a proven item. The lines were drawn in July and not one of them has moved or fallen apart despite the severe weather since then.....

I cannot ask for more then tht Andrew. Perhaps you could also steer me toward a good source for 12v buss boards, plugs and switches.I can't very well begin to button this thing up before I get a wiring harness inside of it. I decided to have only a 120 circuit to charge the battery, and for an aux. on the outside for whatever. Maybe another to run My combo 12v/120v TV. Everything else will be 12V. Recommendations are necessary.
Thanks for the help
Tom

I don't mind being in the prototype club. Leading from behind is my thing.
I do have a question, Since I will not be having a true TearDrop, will I still be welcome at a gathering?

You get a plane to Detroit, change there from Amsterdam, change there for Newcastle and I'll take you to a store right near me - it would cost me $1500 but tickets are usually a bit cheaper at your end.

Alternatively, I'm sure there's someone else on this board who could give you some useful advice...
