Another Insulation question

Question: What do you feel about installing 3 Mill Plastic on top of the 3/4"
Foam insulation before adding the 1/8" interior Sheeting. The exterior wall is 1/2".Are there any upsides to this, or maybe just plain overkill? Any downside? I am at that point now, in the construction. I don';t plan on dwelling on this issue very long, but was curious about what the experts, had to offer.

You're just talking about a very thin plastic layer right? I'm no expert but for me it would be too much trouble for very little return. The 3/4 foam insulation I'm using has a thin layer of plastic on both sides already.
There might be a good reason for using more and I'd love to hear it because I'll be adding my interior walls soon too.

That sounds like you are trying to add a vapor barrier.
I don't think you need a vapor barrier with a good sandwich construction. I'll let the pro's chip in... but if you are using a foamular, sandwiched between two sheets of plywood, I think you'll be just fine...

Mike and Scooter, Thanks for the reply, I think I always felt that there would not be much advantage, even though the cost is very low. I am making a tight sandwich and I agree that should be sufficient. I am trying to get away from analaysis paralaysis, because if I get in that loop, I will never get anything done. I am finished, framing, and skinning the outside, except for the hatch. Another story. I know what to do, but just havn't done it yet. Still playing around with running the wiring. Should be done this Sat. then I begin to button it all up, then the hard part starts. All of the finishing details.
