Has anyone thought of using an old windscreen washer bottle motor as a water pump to a small tap?
This would be a very cheap solution and these motors seem to be fairly robust. (Have you ever had to replace one in your car?)
I know the flow rate might not be great but it's probably suffcient and allows for using a tank mounted below the sink / tap.

Craig...my biggest concern, would be the fact, that they are not rated for potable(drinkable) water...that may not matter but I would wanna check onit......

Way back when I built my first TTT, I used an electric fuel pump and it worked just fine. It was one of the spring/plunger type pumps and the cool thing about it is that they cut themselfs off with normal head pressure... i.e. when you close the faucet, they turn off automatically even with power applied. To be safe, we just ran a tank of water thru the system with a cup of bleach in it before we actually drank the water.

The reason I did not use one in my teardrop is those suckers will pump the water, and so you end up using a lot of water. With the capacity of the tank in the TD I needed to be more conservative.

Good call.
After all, a fuel pump can be picked up for next to nothing.
Thanks.

I used a whale 911 booster pump. It was made to be a booster pump for a faucet far away from the tank in a large RV. I used a faucet for a under sink water filter and the pressure is perfect.

I use a sink mounted hand pump. its amazing how much longer a small tank of water lasts when you have to hand pump it 8)
