Interior Trim Adhesive problems

Just checking to see if anyone else has has trouble with Loctite PowerGrab construction adhesive. Thought we had found the ideal product to install interior trim without using nails. This adhesive comes in a pressurized container about the size of a tube of caulk. Just compress the lever and apply. BUT, after curing for several days (the manufacturer suggests 24 hours) the camper was set outside in 20-30 degree weather. ALL of the trim came off, with the adhesive dryed and crumbled. The manufacturer has indicated they would refund the purchase price. And now I look for a different method of attaching trim!! :x :x

I would suggest that any gluing be done at warmer temperatures!! Not many adhesives like the cold weather. I found a fantastic line of adhesives at my local Menards store call "PL". You can go to their website and find out what will work the best for your specific application.

Perhaps it would work better to use a different brand and some tape to keep things in place until they dry. A couple of small brads will help too. I tried to get Loc Tite to hold my ceiling to the spar and it failed miserably. I ended up using screws where I didn't want them and have holes to fill

I just glued up my trim on my drawers in 40-50 degree weather with Tightbond III and it is holding fast ... as of now...
