Ok even though this is silly

Im goin to ask... If them Förd fenders are 9 inches or are they ? What size tires would fill them out nicely ... Rather than leaving a lot of empty space inside of them...Id definitley go the oldie rims too.. Coker or Used if found... And would the WIDE whitewalls by Coker look good or no?

I did all right on the Voyager tires I think... so have to double check on this ... Im not real good with the wheel and tire sizes...

Actually as of last Oct. R.W. Johnson still had some old Ford wheels like mine and he was selling them for I think $50 each. We found that out when we were picking up the fenders from him at his home. If you were serious you would have to call or write to him about what he has and price. What shape they are in I don't know. The tire that wheel takes is a 600 - 16 and is 7 inches wide (measuring the tires we have now) and they take a tube. As you can see they are narrower than the modern tire. I put all the fender information over in my profile thread.

Our plan is to get white wall tires, with black fenders and red spokes. 8)

Wheels something like these:

Martha that is going to be sweet.. ;) Im just going loony over this topic..  and Im sooooooo far away from you folks...

But ok I have a family friend here who is the Dealer for Coker and thats who I purchased the set of tires, and rims from for mine...

The fenders are just not available here ... the rims and tires can be a little easier...

Im not in a hurry just yet till I get the Voyager done.. and hopefully that wont be too far away anymore...

Best regards

Old Ford Wheels

Postby Bob Olszewski » Fri Feb 02, 2007 11:01 am

Finn

I still have (5) 17" wheels from a '34 ford I haven't unloaded yet. A while back I offered them for $200 + shipping. That offer is still good but I'd like to get rid of them all. Maybe someone else on this forum is interested in taking 2 or 3. These wheels are in good shape with some minor surface rust. I'll try to get some pictures up next week.

Bob,
do you know what the bolt pattern is on the wheels. I might be interested if someone wants to split them with me.

Thanks Bob, I'll need to fiind out how much it would cost to swap the hubs on my axle. they are currently 5-41/2.
