Does anyone know how much current a petcool system draws when it is cooling and heating?

At compressor start it will draw 7.9 Amps.

Thiis sounds like an ideal unit for a tear or more to my liking, a tiny trailer. Anyone had experience with this unit?

We are planning a tiny trailer similar to Steve's puffin or Dale's Squidget, or maybe even Mike's "T@B". The info on their site ( http://www.petcool.com/products.htm ) seems indicates its designed for a 150 sq ft room so that SHOULD be sufficient, and both the price and the weight is about half of the CatCool unit in traditional T@Bs.

Jennifer and I have had one of these units since August of last year and are very happy with it. To begin with, we ducted it through a window in our teardrop using a sheet of plywood as an insert (see picture album.) We plan to run ducts from the rear bottom of the tear, then up through the galley floor and into the cabin. This will enable us to place the unit on the ground, with the galley as a sound buffer, and leave it at home when not needed. The ducts will be capped during travel and when not using the PetCool. We used it in 90-degree weather and couldn't be happier. It "like to ran us outten the trailer." lol It is very effective. We recommend it.

Hey, I just noticed u all are from Ellejay! My wife and I passed thru there three weeks ago going to Talking Rock to pick up a 7 wk old English Shepherd Pup! Small world! And we really enjoy those mountains. We are near Knoxville and have a few around here too.
