Now that is a nice idea...Im working on a warped door at the moment..even though it straightend out by itself almost to the correct shape again... 8) 8)

My only concern with your design is that you removed so much material from what should be the structural part of your door. Would adding a little bit of insulation there really make a difference over just leaving it a solid piece of plywood with a hole for the window?

I did pretty much the same thing, the only place I left much was the hinge and latch areas. Even filled it full of holes to light it up. Works fine.
