I'm wondering if the plywood sides need to be an exterior type plywood, or is regular plywood OK since I will be putting a sealer on it? Thanks, Darrel

I used Marine Ply.. plus it was sealed.. inside and out..however if you seal it up real well in my opinion you,ll be fine..

Signman,
I would highly recommend exterior grade plywood such as ACX if you can get it. The glue used in exterior grade ply is designed to withstand water contamination longer than an interior grade. Don't forget to seal the edges especially the bottom edge. Like the Finn said, he uses marine ply which is great if you can get it.

Couldn't get marine grade so I used Baltic Birch. The top is 1/8 Birch and will get a whole bunch of varnish. 8) ;) I used marine expoxy for the exposed edges.
